VOLUNTEER

There are many rewarding and flexible ways to volunteer with The Ticker Club. From supporting hospital patients, helping with fundraising events, or sharing your skills behind the scenes, every moment you give makes a real difference to those facing heart conditions.

BECOMING A VOLUNTEER

Becoming a volunteer may seem a difficult situation for some people as they do not know where or how to start and who to contact. Your first point of contact would be to our Volunteer Co-Ordinator who will guide you through the process and explain how you can make a difference to the patients you will meet and help to reduce their anxieties prior and post surgery.

Had your heart procedure? Feeling the benefit?

Perhaps you’d like to ‘put something back’ by joining our patient support team . . .

You could join us in helping reassure other cardiac patients and their families by becoming a ward or clinic visitor yourself. You would be given the opportunity to join an experienced visitor for ‘taster’ ward and clinic sessions, followed by joint visits for training and guidance until you feel confident in working on your own.
